DIY bluetooth speaker

summer 2017

So my cousin asked me if I could make a Bluetooth speaker out of a coke can…
As a hobby project I designed a Bluetooth speaker by connecting a set of old speakers, a Bluetooth amplifier board and some electrical components.

After having finished the first version of the speaker I noticed some flaws in the acoustics. Enjoying the project so much, I decided to take the project to a new level with better speakers and improved design. I created a version that shows off my affinity for woodworking nicely, one that is both visually and audibly pleasant.

The final result is a stereo 2x50 Watt Bluetooth speaker equipped with an extra terminal for connecting your own external subwoofer. The enclosure is made of carefully selected African Padauk and Koto hardwood.
